What is in it for you? An enjoyable and challenging internship in a high-tech environment. What is in it for us? Clear processes and procedures for the way we have to deal with the forecasts we receive from all our customers. Maintaining high logistical service levels towards our customers is a KPI that is high on the agenda for Neways. This KPI is expressed as Confirmed Line Item Performance (CLIP). To ensure a high CLIP score, it all starts with managing your demand very accurately. In order to do so, Neways offers an internship which focuses on how to deal with all the forecasts we receive from our customers. The intern will be challenged to develop and implement a way of working for uploading customer forecast into our system. An educational, dynamic and interesting internship with proper guidance, pleasant colleagues and a high contribution to the Neways Group. This is what you can expect as an intern from us!`
What will you do?
Your assignment is both challenging and diverse: together with our colleagues, you provide fact based recommendations for optimizing our customer forecast upload processes and procedures. You are challenged to convert big data (volatile customer demand) into easily understandable conclusions and recommendations. You are able to apply the theory you have learned during your study in practice and thinking outside the box puts you in your sweet spot. At least, the following bullet points have to be part of your research:
- Insight in the volatility (demand changes in quantities and/or timing within order lead time) and variance of the forecasted items and quantities of our customers
- Design of a forecast upload process that ensures high customer service levels against the lowest possible inventory levels
- Implementation of the proposed process
- Clear procedures, work instructions and training for the employees that will deal with the forecast upload process
What do we ask of you?

– Supply Chain Management
– Technical Business Administration
