Neways Electronics demonstrates IoT in interactive environment

Neways Electronics International will exhibit from the 5th until the 7th of February at the E-world energy & water, the leading trade fair for the energy industry. We present our competences in the development and production of electronics with a special focus on the “Internet of Things” (IoT). The booth (halle 5, stand 5-336) is designed as a smart office with different kinds of sensors, like a soil sensor, movement sensor or a distance sensor, which the visitor can test.

The challenge is to connect different IoT platforms so that they can work together. Since 2016 Neways Electronics participates in the so called INTER-IoT project, which is concentrating on the interoperability among different IoT-platforms. Within this EU project we develop, implement and test in practice an open source framework with associated methodology and tools to enable the interoperability of heterogeneous IoT platforms.

Last year a pilot has been rolled out for example in the Port of Valencia, where this Inter-IOT approach is implemented. The result is that all stakeholders (e.g. customers, port authorities, shipping companies, haulers, etc.), can use their existing different software tools and the Inter-IoT makes them working together.

At the E-world energy & water the booth will be staffed by Neways Electronics together with some INTER-IoT partners, for example the University of Warsaw, the British company Rinicom Ltd. and the Technical University of Valencia. Visitors can get to know the INTER-IoT project in detail as well as the benefits of the Internet of Things.
